It was a true statement then but big kudos to Buzz and the players for getting this team out of the doldrums in November and December.  They are playing so much better right now.  Hopefully they bring home a win here today against Louisville, but regardless they have come together in many ways.

if we thought our team couldn't rebound, these guys are brutal with their lack of hustle

Hards Alumni

Well this went to crap rather quickly.

For the record, I'd like to mention that I started this thread at halftime and we then built an 18 point lead before one of the most epic choke jobs in memory.

WOW.

DB....dude...what are you doing?  Epic brainfart.

slingkong

Biggest choke job I've ever seen from a Marquette team.  That was terrible.

Thanks a lot chicos.

LOL....yeah, expect I wrote that when we were up 5 at half and then went up 18....you might want to put the blame somewhere else.

Jam Chowder

You're right. Buzz first, you second.

;D

Just goes to show you, when I try to be overly praise worthy of the coach, what happens....this should be a strong lesson for Lenny and Ners.   ;)

Jam Chowder

Yes, in the future, please stick with the incessant negativity and skepticism. That's what you're here for.

I believe the proper phrase is "vast majority", but you'll have to confer with Lenny's Tap on that

24 hours later, I still can't believe this happened.

Thinking of the game literally made it hard to sleep last night.  I think I need to talk to someone.

No, I'd say there's something wrong with you if you had NO problem getting to sleep last night.  I drank myself into a stupor though, so it wasn't especially hard.

I laid down at 9:30 and didn't fall asleep until after 11. I've thought of little else all day today. What's worse is we have DePaul at home next, so even if we win decisively, the UL game will still be echoing in my mind. I think it will take winning 2/3 after DePaul (and mandatory Syracuse) for me to get back to normal.

The killer is how good we could be. This team had legitimate opportunities to win every game this year except maybe Pitt due to their ridiculous shooting. I just want that one year where we get all the breaks instead of seeing them all go against us. Though if that ever happens, we'll be having another parade in the streets of Milwaukee.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

The loss still irks me, but it's good to see we have a passionate fan base here on MUScoop (even though they appear to want to throw things at each other after a loss like this - that's understandable).  We've all experienced lows but bounced back.  This team will also.  Let's look forward to revenge in the BE tourney.

Go Marquette!

After going through a season of near misses as an Auburn football season ticket holder, remember this isn't football.

Yes, that's a terrible loss, but in football a single blown game can destroy your team's hopes.

In basketball as long as we win enough to make the tourney, I'll take my chances against anyone.  Ask me Selection Sunday if I can live with this loss or not.

We showed in this game we can play with and even dominate even a very good team away from home.  If we are in the tourney, that's all that matters.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).
