I see one Vegas consensus line has us giving 2.5 points to ND. Not sure that is realistsic as ND is ranked pretty highly and whupped two of the opponents that beat us--Wisky and Gonzaga.

I guess that is just the homecourt advantage.

Hopefully we cover that spread, or win period!

I'm a bit concerned myself and if I were to lay money I would tease the game by taking Notre Dame + 7.5 and the over - over 141 or what ever it is. We're playing another experienced team that starts four seniors and one freshman. It looks like the majority of the board (19 out of 20) are predicting MU. This board could vert well errupt tonight/tomorrow. I pray not.

It sounds about right.  ND is a thin team (Especially with the recent injury) so if we continue to get to the line, ND will have some issues.  If we continue to struggle with defensive rebounding, we will struggle.  Other than that, we match up pretty well.  ND's "big" is Nash and I think Crowder can guard him.  So we will probably see a smaller lineup which works in our favor.  I like our odds personally.

I wouldn't take much of that as expectations.  I haven't played the "prediction" contest in a while, but when I did, I would nearly always pick MU with a winning score even if I thought a loss was coming and hope for points on the other categories.  I'd guess most people don't like to pick against their own team.

A bookie once told me that if a ranked team plays an unranked team and the unranked team is favored (as is the case tonight) more often than not the favored/unranked team will come in.   MU was favored against a ranked Gonzaga team earlier this year and obviously it didn't go that way for that game.   Curious to see how it plays out tonight.... MU -3 tonight seems generous considering how well ND has been playing.

my book says -3 1/2.  i'm surprised.  that means it was a pickem with mu getting nicked for being the home team.  by nicked, i mean, i'd rather bet mu at pk'em or getting points.  this one is gonna be a battle-go warriors
