Thought it would be interesting to discuss WVU's execution down the stretch?  Can Huggins not coach because his team turned it over on the steal by Crowder at the 25 second mark?

Did WVU run a good play with Tucker dribbling about 14 seconds off the clock and going for a highly contested 2 point shot over 2 taller MU defenders?

Does WVU lack leadership?

Imagine if the script was flipped...we'd have all kinds of people crucifying Buzz, the players as not being smart, no leadership, etc.

The moral:  You win some you lose some, and usually things even out over a season, much like we saw last year.

"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

I think he can coach....but he can also pontificate: (on Jae) "We made him a star, didn't we?"

The other moral....when you go to multiple Final Fours and win nearly 700 games, you get a lot more leash.  That's part of the deal, fair or unfair, that's part of the deal.

For the record, plenty of WVU fans on their boards bashing Huggins.

He said that? Wow, this is the former Juco player of the year (just like the one you have on your squad). He has talent and works hard. He beat you Huggins, you didn't make him a star.

Yes...good point...so does this mean that Huggins and his 700 wins and multiple Final Fours isn't as good of coach as Buzz Williams?  When MU beat Duke under Tom Crean..did that mean Mike Kryzeski wasn't as good of coach as Tom Crean?  Nope..just goes to show that players win the games and coaches aren't always the people to blame..but are often easy scapegoats for fans.

Look at MU's out of bounds plays vs. WV.  I think they scored everytime, yes, Bob
Huggins can coach, and if Kenyon Martin did not break his leg, they might have won
the NCAA that year.

I would say that it was theirs to lose before KMart went down.

Huggins has won everywhere he has been.  The guy can flat-out coach.

Got any more of that good sarsaparilla?

Huggins can coach.  He's 4th on the wins list for active coaches for a reason.  His team is just young and not as good as WV teams of the past few years.

Of course, and that's how it should be.  When a company has a rough year is it always the CEO's fault?  Nope, but who gets the blame?  The captain of the ship, the CEO, the head coach, the manager.  That's life and that's how it's always going to be.  Just as when we beat some top teams, the pole smoking that goes on is interesting to watch...is it only when we beat good teams the coach is responsible or are the players?   ;)
