After Friday's conference tourney games, Ken Pom now has MU at a nifty RPI of 21.  That RPI can only get better due to direct impact of Pitt, UW and G-Town as well as the indirect impact from the other teams remaining in the tourneys.  Is a 6 seed now likely (with a decent chance at a 5)?

I say we've have a 90% chance for a 6 seed as the news around Jerel is unclear.  I think there is an outside chance we can get a 5 seed with the DJ hype around the team.  No way I see us getting a 7 seed under any circumstance.

Looking at the BE probables, I see Pitt/G-Town as 2 and 3 depending upon who wins tonite with Louisville at 4 and ND at 5 which leaves us at 6 with Nova and Cuse at 7 and 8 with WVU as a possible 9 or 10.  Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Why would UL be a 4 and MU be a 6?  We split two regular season meetings, MU has a much better RPI (21 vs 36), and played a tougher schedule (14 vs. 33).

Basically, the only way you can say UL deserves to be ahead of MU at all is is that strength of schedule is irrelevant.

Even at that, I don't see any basis for a two seed difference.

Louisville has finished very strong and is entering the tournament as one of teh hottes teams in teh country. The committee seeds the teams going into the torunament - which is why last 10 games is a criteria.
