Clam Crowder

I am not a big Fulce supporter, but today when Jae look dreadful at times it made me realize how much we need him. We will miss his minutes and intensity more than I imagined

Agreed. For the most part when a ball is in Joe's area he will be the one to come away with it. His energy always provides a nice spark. I'm worried he's our best senior leader and there's a chance that he will be out for the year. It seemed last year we would get into a tough spot and look to Lazar. This year there's really no one to look too. DJO not being able to shoot outside of the UWM game means our offense goes 3 feet out from the basket.

There is more than a chance he is done.

In watching that game I realized we need a LEADER out there on the floor.  We miss Mo and Lazar more than I thought we would because no one has stepped up to lead this team.  It seems we have a team of followers at the moment, we need one person to become that dynamic team leader that DJ and Lazar were over the last 5 years.

No. We need Bo Ellis, or Maurice Lucas, or Jim Chones or Larry McNeil, or Jerome Whitehead. Hell, maybe Craig Butrym could help.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

My guess is that none of them are in good enough shape to contribute. Especially Larry McNeill.

Honestly, these posts, to me, are utterly useless. They are not remotely constructive to current Marquette basketball. If that's all you want, start buying up copies of old games with Al on the sidelines and watch those all day long.

We need someone who can rebound and bring energy. Is it Fulce? God, I hope so, because there's a chance he'll be back this year. Or is it someone like Gardner, Otule, or Crowder, who have the body and ability, but thus far haven't shown the technique? Not my preference, because we know what Fulce brings, but at least there's a chance one of them could develop this year. Is it God's Gift Achiuwe or another prospect not yet on the roster? Quite possibly, though I am still hoping it's someone who's on the roster now and can contribute to this team.

If not, then we go with the "wait 'til next year" mantra that has served Cubs fans so well this past century plus and hope that Buzz either finds someone with that last schollie to get the job done or someone on the current roster develops.
