Marquette Golden Eagles coach Buzz Williams said Friday that freshman forward Davante Gardner has been ruled out of tomorrow night's game at UW-Milwaukee.

Let's hope he will be ready by the Badger game.  I think he will prove invaluable by keeping the Badgers interior defense honest not to mention causing a few fouls on their bigs.

Playing against the bigmen of Duke and Gonzaga was importnat experience for Gardner. However, they never should of played him in the first place. We risk further injuring Gardner in games we lost anyways.

Agreed - though it (as always) is hindsight.  Just re-watched the Duke game today.  Gardner came in and really helped make the rest of our offense more efficient (as well as scoring for himself).  IMO, he helped give us the chance to win - we just didn't capitalize.
