This is a day old already, but it was a good read.  I really like Knight calling our games, and even just having the things that Knight said compiled into one article was worthwhile, IMO.

Of course Knight is right about not reaching in when you have a player boxed in. I bet he told his players that 2 million times and they probably only listen to him 5 or 10 times. No wonder why he had anger issues.

I do remember my coach teaching the "fake reach" in that situation.  He said if you just stand there then the offensive player gets confident that he can pass out of it without the "double teamers" stealing the ball.  Instead, he said, you should act like you are trying to get the ball but make sure you don't foul.  That way he is more likely to make a mistake when getting rid of the ball.

Knight did have issues when coaching--probably due to his intensity/lack of patience, but regardless of what you think of the guy, he definitely knows basketball.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

A couple years ago he had a TV show on ESPN where he had tryouts for a walk-on while he was coaching in Texas.  I thought it was excellent.  You could tell all the kids respected him and were like sponges absorbing his every word.

It was called "Knight School" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knight_School_%28TV_series%29)... does anyone happen to know where I could find the episodes? I looked on both amazon and a few less than legal sources but came up with nothing. It was really good, I remember watching it.
