Their starting point guard is Charlie Westbrook, who is from Riverside High School.  He went juco two years before coming to USD this year.

Off the bench, is freshman Steve Tecker from Maple Northwestern.  They finished as runner up to Catholic Memorial in the D2 state championship last year.

JUCO??!!!???    Better pat him down before he gets in the gym, right Chicos?

My sources within the South Dakota program told me that Coach Boots "cooled" on Josh Gasser otherwise we would be seeing him twice at the BC this year instead of once.

Haven't been paying 100 percent attention with the stream cutting out in the backround, but Tecker was a pretty athletic swing man I got to cover on sectional finals I've done on tape-delayed TV the last couple of years. Blew out his knee IIRC before last season, but came back to play at sectionals, and still had enough to dominate the second half of the sectional final against an Onalaska team that could have two mid-to-low-major-type D1 players in a few years. Decent rebounder for a swing man, too.
GO WARRIORS!

Anybody know if he's a "traditional" player?
No, Westbrook is a modern player, not at all traditional.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.
