Just got this email:

Marquette Fans,

I want to apologize to you for the inconvenience and frustration caused by today's Marquette/Bucknell game on ESPNMilwaukee.com.

In order to provide the best possible streaming experience, we are affiliated with ESPNRadio.com and their SuperStream player. This allows us to never have capacity problems and provide a high quality audio broadcast.

Today, it led to the constant issues that we experienced throughout the entire game and postgame. We were aware of these issues during the game and worked hard to try to resolve them.

Marquette played an awesome second half and I am disappointed that we could not perform at the same level.

We appreciate your passion for Marquette Athletics, support of ESPNMilwaukee, and the kind way that many of you communicated your displeasure. I can tell you that I was infuriated by today's broadcast and the problems we caused all of you. Please know that we are committed to making sure this does NOT happen again.

If you have any additional questions or issues, please feel free to let me know and thanks again for your support,

Craig

Mr. Nielsen

That sucks, a least they knew they had a problem. The radio part was fine.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

Well, swift response and all.  Apology accepted.  Will continue to be a regular listener (not that there are other options).

I appreciate the immediate response. Only responsible companies would do that.

However, they should have announced that they were experiencing technical difficulties during the broadcast so I, as well as other MU fans, could have turned to other venues to get our information, instead of sticking around each and every time it goes down.

Their "issues" have been going on for years. Unfortunately, I don't see any reason to believe they won't continue from that email.

I'm guessing we're going to have to call them on Wednesday to ask them to switch the internet feed over once again, probably 4 minutes into it?

I'm surprised Marquette's radio sponsors tolerate it. Maybe their internet radio audience is tiny.

Tell Craig that his Dad Mel would not be impressed
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

I appreciate the notice.

A free stream in 2,000 miles away is a blessing. I am sure they will tweak things and be good.  I am in California and decide to skip espn gameplan in favor of espnradio, cause I love homer and the picture is awful.  So, I hope this is a small blip.

What should  they do? Should they not listen to their engineers who say everything is running fine? It's their engineers!

brewcity77

Was a bit disappointing not to be able to listen to the end of the game. I'm glad they at least apologized...doesn't change the past, but hopefully their acknowledgment will lead to more vigilance in the future.
