Discuss - My vote Buzz..of course, because I'm a Buzz fanboy and I believe Buzz will be the first of the above 3 to get his team to a Final Four..

So you put Buzz up against two coaches these board despises?  What result do you think you're gonna get???   ::)

That's funny...I see your point..but do think people can be objective and give their honest opinions...

If you read the IU scout board, if they land Zeller, and they are confident they will, Final 4 by '12, '13 at the latest.

CTC sighting with his Bromance Cal last night at the Bulls-Wizards game...IU getting close to the vacated F4 halo is more like it.

Personally, I never got the Sampson and Cal friendships with Crean.  You would think he would steer clear.

I'm confused....the poll says who would be the first one to take team to Final Four.  I believe Crean already did that.  So isn't this question settled?

As for friendships....isn't Buzz friends with Crean?  Isn't Buzz friends with Gillespie?  Wasn't KO in Crean's wedding?  Slippery slope.....

I should have been clearer...I don't know why Crean is so public with his friendships of guys officially tainted by the NCAA in the midst of his restoration job.  In fact, multiple offenses each.  CTC is pr conscious and this appearance doesn't make any sense.  The halo of buddy Cal to show how "connected" he is or the perception that he hangs with tainted sludge?   How does this play with McRobbie, et al at IU?

In regards to Buzz, I am unaware of any NCAA violations of Gillispie or Crean.  BCG is a raving alcoholic and I believe has finally sought treatment, thank goodness.   Nice to know Buzz has stood by him as I am sure Crean would have.

We know.

(Sorry Chico's couldn't resist!)

Or perhaps you should fix your poll question, since it's incorectly worded.   ;D   Sorry, couldn't resist.

Pretty easy...it's the coaching fraternity.  No different than Al McGuire being seen with Jerry Tarkanian during the day.  Etc, etc.

Just is what it is.

Kelvin Sampson was a Michigan State coach as was TC.  Thus the relationship there.

Calipari was a Pittsburgh coach, so was TC.

The fraternity is small.  Everyone knows everyone.  They can hate each other's guts on the court and be best of pals off the court....watching Mike Deane and Huggins interact off the court was some of the funniest things you'll ever see.

And there is no sense making enemies when you never know when you might need someone.
