Samardzija is way over paid and has a no trade clause; he isn't going anywhere, why would he? Sandberg is NOT a pitching coach. He had little to do with turn around success w/ Zambrano and he has NO impact on the pitching development of Samardzija. Quade doesn't either, I never said that. Don't put words in my mouth.

There was not mutiny in the clubhouse, Lou completely gave up on the season and didn't want to be there. Are you confused? Trammel was not interim anything.

Given the circumstances I think that Quade is the right choice. The only chance that HOF players won't have the opportunity to manage is if the HOF stops inducting players. Get real. Quade has won at every level. Over 1,000 wins in the minors and two time minor league manager of the year.

Girardi was not happening, get over it. 

I should clarify, starting pitching wasn't much of a problem for the Cubs. 96 quality starts was good enough for 2nd best in the majors. I'm not saying it is great, nor am I saying that it is would win games in the post season, I'm just saying Rothschild is NOT the problem. The level of talent is. Rothschild's job is to coach the pitchers, it is the manager's responsibility to manage the pitching staff and bullpen.

Crane Kenney is the President of the team, of course he makes baseball decisions. He mistakenly thinks he is a baseball person. He belives in curses and billy goats and bronze statues. He is the epitome of clueless and somehow weaseled his way into the position.
