What a nice bunch of talented kids!  Great attitudes, sounds like a great work ethic of earning their minutes, working hard . . . We welcome them all to Marquette!

Loving Jae Crowder

Totally. I see him coming from the Matthews-Hayward school of great interviews.

I really hope he does well on the court, because I love what I'm hearing from him so far.

I know youtube is not ideal to make this kind of judgment but Crowder looks like he has a bigger frame than Hayward.  Hopefully conditioning was the reason Crowder was not as recognized coming out of high school and he can put it all together now.

Love the dreads too.  We may have a player with dreadlocks and a player with goggles starting in the interior this year. Throw in our sweet uni's and how could a casual fan not like MU?

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm not a big fan of the dreads.

I love the dreads. Every time I see video or pics of Jae, I am reminded of The Predator.

+10000  haha

That's an easy costume for the student section this year.

He said that Gardner would "have to fill the role joe had last year. He'll have to play 8-9 minutes a game."  Seems to indicate they have plans for Fulce to play a lot more.

If DG gets 8 to 9 minutes a game next season, one of two things have happened:

1)  DG is in great shape and can hold his own defensively against the Big East big men well enough for Buzz to give him the minutes. (exceeding most on this board's expectations).

or 2)  the rest of the team is decimated by injuries and he is forced to play.

I really, really hope it is 1).  Put another way, at this stage if the coaches really think our 6'8" freshman big man is good enough to get 8 or 9 minutes a season with minutes hard to come by with this talented roster, it bodes really well for this team. It gives the coaches flexibility we have been lacking for a long time.
