While true, only 3 halls (and one apt) currently have SJ's in house: Fr. Majka in Schroeder, Fr. Zeps in Cobeen, and Fr. Leonhardt in McCabe (Fr. Zagone is also the HM of Humphrey Apt, but rarely does anything with the students).

The truth is that it takes a special kind of Jesuit to be able to stay in the halls long term...even Fr. Majka needed to leave OD so he could have a more secluded apt in Schroeder...though I believe Fr. Zeps has been a HM for quite a long time and Fr. Andy was the HM at McCormick for a while too.

Halls where the Jesuits would live along the same hallway/floor as students (Mashuda, OD, Carpenter, I think Abbottsford) just don't work as well. Straz or McCormick are possibilities as the staff apts are pretty set off from the rest of the students.

I don't envy any of the hall ministers or hall directors who put up with our crap in McCormick and Schroeder. We made their life hell.

McCormick was a better place because of Rick Abert and Bill Pauly.  Sorry to hear that Jesuit in residence is no longer the norm, but I can imagine it was a harder life.

Whatever happened to the famous song-writing Jesuit, Dan Schutte?
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Fat chance an outsider will have any pull to get the name changed back. He will tow the line and be a good ol company boy just like Wild

Left the priesthood, got married.  In CA?

Best church song ever:  "Glory and Praise to our God"
2nd best: anything done by SLU Jesuits

Inside info. I hear he is planning on living in the dorms to be "among the students". Also, he still has the old Georgetown dog, and is bringing him to MU. Heard this from a high up person in university advancement, so I'm pretty sure its legit.

You will also see him doing beer bongs at various parties in Renee Row this school year to be "among the students."

I thought Schutte was a member of the St. Louis Jesuits, and that song was also done by them. My parents have a few of their albums, they are actually really good musicians and song writers.

Great pick for president. You guys got a good one and yes the former jack the bull dog is his pet and he took him with him to scranton, and now I'm sure he'll follow him to marquette.
Next time we play GT, we'll have to dress Jack up in some MU gear and have him on court.

Going to have to tone down the "Wring out a hoya" signs though. :-\
