Party "poopers" leave their mark in swanky hotel pool
Pool must be drained to clean excrement

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - St. Petersburg's swankiest hotel has been forced to close it's pool after two teenagers scaled several security fences and dumped a load of you-know-what in the pool, police said.

The suspects left their mark in the pool at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club on 5th Avenue just before midnight Wednesday.

Police spokesman Mike Puetz said video surveillance at the 5 star hotel captured images of two teenagers scaling the fences and entering the pool area.

Eighteen-year-old Andrew Harris and 19-year-old Michael Cline have been charged with commercial burglary.

According to a police report the video shows Harris  "deficated in his shorts, reached into his shorts and fling feces all over the pool." Police say Harris then reached into his shorts, grabbed another handful of feces, dove into the pool and smeared it along the bottom of the pool in the shape of an "X."

Both teens then climbed into the hotel's hot tub where police found them a short time later.

Hotel workers told police they will have to drain the pool to clean it and refund thousands of dollars in compensation to guests who were expecting to spend Thursday lounging by the pool.

"I just don't see what the thrill of this would be," said Puetz. It's beyond comprehension."

In the absence of toilet paper, aqua dumps are sometimes necessary. I don't see what the problem is here.
