Does anyone know if the recently announced home and home with Vanderbilt is a substitute for the previously mentioned scheduling possibility of University of Southern California?

Yes, this series will take the place of the USC planned series.  It came down to getting both games nationally televised and we weren't able to do that with USC, but were able to with Vandy.

Vandy is the right call. USC only offers the novelty of Kevin O'Neill.

The west coast television audience wouldn't have been a bad thing either.
