Does ND's home/home commitments impair conf expansions w/B10?

In this link ND appears ready to commit to a 3 year FB series with Miami beginning in 2012(to 2014).

Do its commitments to these independent games impair ND's ability, cost $ to wiggle out of, or otherwise affect its ability to join Big ten?
It may be just housekeeping to undo, but maybe the commitments there and w/NBC TV are real impediments--does any one know how they get resolved if ND goes to B10, or for that matter to BE in FB?

There's outs to everything.  But my guess is that if they are still making commitments, it is very likely that they will not join a conference.

Or they're negotiating this contract with a "if we join a conference" out clause.
