Like him or nor, amazing what Cal can do.

texaswarrior74

Yes, especially if you want to have to completely reload every year because they are all one and dones. They aren't going to win a national championship any time soon under this program.

If Cal couldn't get it done this year with that amazing amount of talent, it's not going to happen next year either because Knight/Kanter isn't close to being equal to Wall/Cousins.

The UK one and done parade isn't going to change until the NCAA does something about WWW and his Lebron connection....meaning it "ain't happening anytime soon."

UK will eventually start losing scholarships/get an NCAA slap on the wrist after it is discovered that no one has gone to classes after each January and Cal will be heading to the pros or banking his last large paycheck.

He represents everything that could be bad in collegiate sports....

it's unfortunate that they will be in the nba next year.

Cal can offer them a shot at the NBA after one year and the promise they will never ever have to attend a class. He's a sleazebag at the school that had the original sleazebag, Adolph Rupp.

Is it that sleazy? The rule the NBA made is stupid.  Cal isn't doing anything against the rules.  Is it so bad to utilize the rule to get players to come his way?  He could teach them some things about the NBA the NBA game and what to do/not to do with money, women, etc.  He's been there.  If he teaches them how to handle themselves at the next level isn't completely sleazy?  Or is it sleazy because he gets recruits that don't come to MU?

They could learn some things by playing overseas as well.  Instead they will take a scholarship away (perhaps only a year or two, but a scholarship nonetheless) from someone who could earn it.  I agree the NBA's rule opens the door for this but isn't two vacated final fours fit in the sleazy territory?

Mr. English Degree - This is NOT proper English...!  It's not sleazy because these recruits don't come to MU.  He's not doing anything against the rules?  Someone is.  He has had final four appearances vacated @ UMass & Memphis.  UK will surely follow.

"Is that"  my bad.

This is an informal forum, who cares about proper English when you're typing quickly?  At a bar do you worry about speaking properly?  No you don't.  Jackazz.

He has not had anything vacated from Kentucky, maybe he will or maybe he won't; I find it sleazy and unbecoming of a man to count him guilty prematurely.

The NBA rule isn't stupid.  For the NBA it makes perfect sense.  NBA execs don't need to worry about scouting HS kids and wondering if they will be able to make the direct jump from HS to the pros.

It may be stupid for the college game's perspective, but the NCAA has resources at its disposal that can force change if they wanted.

Players aspiring to advance to the NBA should be mentored by Pitino. He certainly is capable of teaching proper dining and social etiquette, especially valuble advice when frequenting Italian establishments.
