Saw the list of 12 finalists for the Lowe's Senior Class Award - and Lazar wasn't one of them?  Seems Zar would be a good candidate for the award which goes to the Top Senior who has been the best representative of:

Character
Classroom
Community
Competition

Ironically DeSean Butler of WVU won it, and I just watched him elbow Zoubek with an intentional elbow to the NUTZ.  Stay Classy WVU, and keep rockin' that awesome character DeSean.

I don't think that was intentional.

I re-wound the play about 5 times and Butler definitely cocked his elbow (pun intended) and launched it to Zoubek's nuts.  Butler had motivation for doing so, as he's been clearly frustrated by not having scored yet in this game.  You have a general idea for where another player's midsection is when you are fronting them in the post as Butler was Zoubek.

But, back to the original post -anyone know why Lazar wouldn't have been on this list of 12 finalists?  Not sure what the classroom criteria are, but from all we know of Zar - he's shown great character, competitor, and service within the community.  Does the MU Sports Information/PR Department need a wake up call??  We all know schools push their candidates for the Heisman in football...seems we should have pushed Lazar for this award (if he was eligible)??

The fact that Chris Kramer was one of the finalists and not Lazar tells you about the idiots giving out that award.

There were a number of other finalists besides Kramer that surprised me (in that I wasn't really even familiar with who they were.)  Lazar should have been at very least on the list, if not the winner.  I'd appreciate if anyone in the Sports Infromation/PR Department could give an explanation as to why Lazar wasn't a finalist - perhaps he didn't meet the classroom or community criteria??

While I loved Zar's play, he had plenty of moments underneath the basket that could have been called "dirty" play. He got away with a lot.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."
