Golden Avalanche

Very long. Seems to rely on the outside shot. Hasn't shown the aggressiveness of his teammate Bell (who will have an impact with Nova) to get points other ways then the jump shot if its not falling. Like the physical attributes he provides. As with all prospects, time spent in the summer will be important.

One thing we know for sure is next year there will be a lot of possibilities on the roster.

Yea, it scares me a little that he seems kind of nonchalant.  This is the second game i have seen him play, and he hasn't looked like he has had a high motor in either game.

Then he will get to take EWill's place on the bench.

Very well may happen.  E Will lacked awareness, he certainly didn't lack attitude.  Every time he got in he seemed aggressive and didn't seem to back down.  I think he could really break out next year, just has to lock down those defensive assignments.

jono21

he is having a monster second half, 12 in the 4th quarter so far

MUfan12

Jamail with 12 points in the 4th quarter, 19 on the game. Singlehandedly keeping Monteverde in it.

KipsBayEagle

Yea he shot lights out in the fourth.  He seems more like a shooter than a penetrator.  Always thought of him as a guy that put the ball on the floor

Good compliment to Blue, Cadougan, and Smith then.

Maybe this is where he gets the nickname Mellow.  Never seen him play - does he seem nonchalant on D too?

I see a little Kevin Jones in his game

seems to be Hazell-esque

This isn't too far off. In fact, that's a good pull.

A longer, ganglier-type jump shot and with the head band down lower his ears pop just like the Hazell-ian. He did show better in the late game stretch which was nice. Couple good defensive awareness moves. Great dunk off the inbound play. He, along with Newbill, are billed as shooters so let's see if one of them can parlay that skill into playing time.

MUfan12

He's already the second best shooter on the team (behind DJO) and he hasn't played yet.

Newbill and Blue are more streaky. Jones has a nice looking stroke.

SaintPaulWarrior

He had a nice flying dunk off an inbounds from under the basket....made all 3 FT's in the 4th when he was fouled.....was definitely looking for the 3 in the 4th quarter and extended the zone defense.....think he ended up 4-8 from 3....which led to the PG being able to drive through the zone for the game winner with 2 seconds left....Plays again tomorrow at 11 CT on ESPN 2.

He really seemed nonchalant the whole game.  If it weren't for his accurate shooting, he would have had maybe two points the whole game.  He didn't move without the ball, he never put the ball on the floor.  His shot did look good, but that was all that stood out.  His defense actually looked terrible.  He would always put his hands up to look like he was helping when someone on the other team cut to the basket, but it almost looked comically lazy, think Daria (that animated show on mtv back in the day) playing volleyball.  I was very concerned from this game.  I hope he plays better tomorrow.

Missed it but doesn't sound like anything that can't be fixed by buzz.  That's why coaches make the big bucks.

I totally agree.  Intensity can be taught.  Plus I have only seen two games of him playing, so this could certainly be an anomaly.  I am very interested in watching tomorrows game

HoopsMalone

Maybe he just doesn't show intensity like other players.  He may be like Jamal Mashburn.

strobl2

This is the 4th or 5th time I have seen him play and he always looks kinda nonchalant and lazy. I don't think that is the case though, he may be just one of those guys that doesn't show emotion. Like Tracy Mcgrady with that sleepy look he always has.

thanooj

He looks to have a quick release.  Catches and shoots in rhythm.  Goes up strong.  With his length that could be really a positive.  Might be hard to guard especially if buzz moves the ball around like this season.
