Sharpie

I found some pretty long clips from DJ Newbill's last playoff game from the 1st and 2nd half. He's got a pretty nice stroke albeit being against some smaller but talented competition being that far in the PA state playoffs.

Enjoy.

He plays no defense, and looks lazy!! Pretty good shot, though.
Q: What's the difference between Bo Ryan and God?
A: God doesn't think he's Bo Ryan!!

Looks like he has slow feet, and just kind of tip-toes around the perimeter. He will take a year or two to adjust to buzz ball, I don't really expect him to see the court next year. Hopefully in a couple years he can become a solid bench contributer.
BEARS STILL SUCK

Hey Vikings, I like what you've done with the basement.

"Lazar Hayward. The L stands for leader, and the W stands for winner, Lazar Hayward is a winner."

Oh my god, its high school basketball. You guys jump to your conclusions pretty quickly.

By the way, maybe its how small everyone else is on that floor, but Newbill looks huge for a guard.
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

It seems like he has a really nice stroke.

He's too small for Division I ball.  The big physical guards on teams like Wisconsin will wear him down and dominate him just like they did to Travis Diener.
It was nice to see him at 6'3" get that goal tending call against him in the second half.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

warriors1991

He plays no defense......IN HIGH SCHOOL.

Not worried about that. Pretty smooth outside stroke, will need to speed up his release at this level.

Announcer's accent was the best part of the clips: half Canadian half Cudahy.

PGsHeroes32

now i know the team was absolutly terrible but i just noticed he scored 64 points in a game this year on 24-30 shooting.
