I know this was discussed back when Yous was originally hurt in January, but has there been any further discussion on Mbao getting a medical waiver (redshirt), or has Buzz mentioned this at all in any of his press conferences/radio show?

MU B2002

I thought it would not apply because his injury ocurred in the 2nd half of the season, and past the normal 30% cutoff.  IIRC

It's not so much the time the injury occurred as it is when he played.  I believe you are still eligible if you are injured in the second half of the season as long as you didn't play in the second half of the season.  Mbao played in the first game of the second half of the season, so he's not eligible.

They should try, but I expect it will not be allowed. First it goes to Big East and if they turn it down they can appeal to NCAA.
