MU up big in the second half and to lose it.  We lost by a last second/ one possession game in the first weekend; what else is new.  I am happy with this all.  Preseason, I thought my team would barely make the NIT and they were a 6 seed in the big dance. It's fine by me.  Bigger things are to come.  Honestly.  Buzz is an amazing recruiter and we will be fine.  Silver lining... that's all.

I agree. Really fun season, and I still believe MU is going to be very, very good next year (of course I thought we would be bad this year, so...)

My wife said she didn't think we'd lose like "this."

OF COURSE WE WERE GOING TO LOSE LIKE THIS.  How else would we have lost?  This is the way we roll.

Frustrate fans with flashes of great ball, build a lead, give it up = soul crushing loss in the final 10 seconds.

It truly was a fitting end to the season. MU got up 15 and as soon as UW scored a couple baskets in a row, we all just knew what was coming.

A lot of heart-breaking losses, but in the end, this was definitely a season I won't forget for a long time.

HA... I texting back and forth with a buddy from the west coast and after the couple of baskets, I told him that the lead would be gone.  We all knew it was coming.

Arfter UW called time out after we went up 15 and then rattled off 4 quick points, I started yellin go the the tv "call time out Buzz!" I thought we could have used one right there to settle MU down, remind them they were still up 11, and hopefully blunt the momentum UW was gaining. Instead, he waited until it was a 10-0 run and UW was right back in it and had all the momentum and the crowd on their side.

I'm glad Buzz is our coach and I think he got the team to perform at a high level this year, but I just wish he would use time outs better to stop the other team's momentum. We still had 2 time outs left with 1.7 seconds to play.

We don't really know yet whether Buzz is all that amazing as a recruiter. If next year's freshmen aren't significantly better than this year's, we are in serious trouble. I doubt if any tournament team got less out of its freshmen than we did.

MU B2002

I thought our loss was brutal until I saw Texas miss 4-6 FTs and blow a 6 point lead with a minute left in overtime, and the ball.

Yeah, that was a pretty fitting end to their season.
