We're #1 in Sagarin, #6 in Pomeroy.

We're one of six teams in the top 15 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

We're also the only team in the country to be in the top 50 in 7 out of 8 offensive & defensive "Four Factors."  A few other teams are in the top 50 in 6 out of 8, but no one else is at 7.  We're VERY good at almost every aspect of the game.

We're #6 in 2 point % offense, and #11 in 2 point % defense.  To put that in perspective, no other team in the country is in the top 50 in both of those categories.  We get paint touches on offense and keep it out of the box on defense, and we do both very well.

These are all VERY promising indicators, but aside from the statistical perspective, I just love this team's attitude.  We get up in your grill and defend you for 40 minutes and bring in waves of relentless, hungry talent off the bench.  There isn't a selfish player on the team on offense either.  The passing is excellent, both in terms of vision and execution.

The scary part about this is I don't think we've reached our ceiling yet, and I'm not sure this roster even has one.  Pay attention people - we haven't had a team close to this good since 2003.

Solid analysis. What I love most about the team is their defense. We knew the offense would be there (perhaps not to this extent), but to see them lock down a team like Wisconsin around the perimeter while sizing up with their bigs inside is enough to have any MU fan giddy. Can't wait to stick it to the next UW at the Garden.

We owe Washington revenge for Lazar.

Dear Sir:

It might be safe to say, that we are, indeed, all paying attention ... close attention, might be a more accurate way to state it.

Thank you for the statistical information ... it is scary!

Not to mention we would have made the sweet 16 that year too - the New Mexico team that awaited was one of the worst 3 seeds in memory.

Amen, I was the only depressed soul on a warm evening in a Miami sand bar after that game. I found no sympathy in South Beach--I was expecting a pat on the back from Wade or something.

Poor choice of words on my part - obviously everyone reading this board is paying very close attention.  Just wanted to emphasize that while we have had good teams since we've started the BEast, they've all had their flaws, whether it was a lack of depth, height, defense, etc.  This teams has very few flaws, and a very high ceiling, possibly even higher than 2003.
