It has been bad both ways, I counted 6 straight times down the court that a foul was called.  Jay is right, this tape won't be used at any clinics.

Hang on boys.

ONeills Barstool

The officiating seemed particularly poor this evening....and not a Higgins, Hightower or Burr to be had.  I can't remember the last time officiating stood out to me so much after a W.

After DJ got 2 or 3 in a row whistled on him late in the game, you could see the look of disbelief on his face.  Seemed to be terribly inconsistent, IMO.

Oh well, it didn't matter.  The boys came through at the FT line BIG TIME.  31-35.

Big Papi

The officiating was brutal.  bad calls all the way around.  They let them play physical one minute than call a ticky-tac foul the next.

exactly, Fanatic.  The refs let the game get away from them in the first 10 minutes or so..., I was afraid someone (Matthews) was going to get hurt.  Then, suddenly,  they realize they're not in the game and start calling touches!

I am in total agreement with all of you.  That was the worst officiated game of the season.  I think we got the benefit of the whistle overall, but there were plenty of bad calls both ways to go around.  It was bad enough that the ESPN guys remarked frequently about bad calls, which is rare.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

I don't know if anyone else heard announcers them mention that two of the refs. had worked in final 4. I think we definitely were helped by refs coming back in first half and building lead in 2nd half. After attending last weeks DePaul game and watching Villanova it makes me question the strength of homecourt advantage delivered by Big East officials.
