At the end of the WVU game, when Butler hit that shot, I heard the announcer say the Butler did it.  Can MU fans take ultimate credit this season for that saying?  I remember saying that at a bar far away from Milwaukee after the UConn game.

The Butler stepped up against Nova again. He is really a terrific player.

I would think Green Bay Packer fans would have a gripe considering when LeRoy Butler played... the term "The Butler did it" was used multiple times.

Don't think MU fans can take credit for being the originators of this phrase

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

Benny B

Plus, the tagline was already used against Marquette earlier in the season.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

GoldenWarrior

I don't think any one group of fans can try to say they coined that saying, it's a simple play off of the board game clue... now tonight if Jimmy hits a buzzer beater it would be great if they called it... "The Butler did it in the garden" or at least something to that effect
