It has been predicted endlessly that free throws would cost us a game.  They finally did.   It has been debated endlessly whether we would miss out on senior leadership down the stretch of a tight game and whether the sophomores would be able to lead.   We did and not always.   Our inside game is not strong and our 3pt shooting is inconsistent.  Who knew?    This game just re-inforced every bit of kvetching that has been done this year.   Why should this make anyone less of a fan.   Frustrated, yes, hating the team and the coach forever, that is just stupid.
On a completely unrelated note, I was unable to get to a computer to follow the game or to a bar to watch it.   I followed it along the bottom of the UNC/BC game.   At 11:15 EST, 59-58 MU Final, scrolled across the bottom of the screen.  I put the baby to bed and went to bed happy.   Sunday was his baptism, and I did not see a computer, paper, or TV until 4:30.   Then I fnally learned that I had been duped for the previous 17 hours.  Man, was I peeved.

you know, I thought it was just me, the booze or both, but the SAME situation occurred with me!
was at a wedding at the Astor Saturday eve---
couple MU students and my season tix buddies there.

bar had ESPN-
the bottom line showed that MU won, and scrolled Jerel's stats, etc.

went back into the soiree jubilantly and basically announced the final!

boy did I get the phone calls sunday.
and those were barely after I finished spitting out my coffee reading the paper.

what the hell was that all about!??
>:(

Wwo, that's terrible especially since the game was on an ESPN network.  But there really was no good way to get the news. It was hard to sleep after watching that one.

my dad called to congratulate me on the "victory".  Obviously, was not in the mood to explain what happened

The MU Women beat Louisville on Sat.  I saw the score before the men's game and it took me a minute to figure it out.

It was the men's score, and it was 59-58.   The women's score was different and I was following both.    Moot point now.  At least I got a good night sleep.
