Lunardi has us a 10 seed against Gonzaga. The 2 we would play if we advanced would be K State.

Brutal!  I'm of the opinion that MU needs to win 2 games this week in order to move up to a 7 seed, thus giving us a much easier road to the 2nd weekend.

I was just saying the same thing this morning. if we win 2 or beat UCONN then a close 2nd game I think a 7 seed isn't out of the question.

On the flip side, we're actually the lowest 10 (40 on the S curve).  This would never happen, of course, but I'm wondering how far we could fall if we lose to St. John's.

How ironic would this be, throw in the possibility of facing Duke and you have a preview of the CBE classic next year.

Nice to see the CBE knows its' host teams...they have Marquette listed in the Big Ten (eleven).

No chance vs Gonzaga.  I don't care if MU wins or loses, just so they do whatever results in not getting that matchup.

Give me a break. no chance? Tell that to St. Mary's, who lit them up last night in Vegas.

PGsHeroes32

Zaga isnt an ideal match up but i dont get how we have no chance? We didnt lose by double digits all year playing in the BE and also at the Kohl center where everyone gets beatdown, so no chance? Give me some of your drugs.

If St. Mary's can do, why can't we?!?

SERIOUSLY folks.

Give me the Zags. Give me Kansas St. I'll take those teams.

Don't give me a #1 seed face-off in the second round.

We are one of 4 teams hosting a regional, along with Duke, Gonzaga and Kansas State. The regional will consist of weak, buy game type opponents.  Regardless of what happens in the regional round, we advance to the Championship in Kansas City.

The last time we were a regional host was in 2006, when we  beat Idaho State and Detroit, before going on to beat Texas Tech and Duke in the championship.

PGsHeroes32

Thanks GoMU, so the teams we face in the championship are Duke, Kstate and Zaga then?

We will have games against 2 of the 3 other teams...a first round game, and a consolation/championship game.

Never underestimate your voice here on the 'scoop.  There's a reason we don't allow talk of politics...we were having too much influence :D
