Ken Pomeroy breaks down the odds of each team advancing in the Big East tournament. His favorite to win the championship is third-seeded West Virginia (29.2%) while lowest seed DePaul comes in at 0.0003%.

Here are the percentages for Marquette, according to Pomeroy's calculations:

Making it to quarterfinal - 66.7%

0.0003% seems a little high for DePaul.

Looks like Todd reads Henry Sugar who reads Pomeroy.

So you're telling me there's a chance....

I'm all for statistics, but this is idiotic. So, if we win our first game, you're telling me we still only have an 11 percent chance of making the final? I'm sure it becomes adjusted, but it's just silly to discuss something like that.

tower912

We didn't beat any of the top 4 seeds.  0-5.       11-2 against those seeded lower than us.   I am going to postulate that is the reason for this statistical prediction.
