Hayward, Butler earn all-Big East honors
               

Lazar Hayward was named second team all-Big East and teammate Jimmy Butler earned honorable mention, the league announced on Sunday.

Hayward, a pre-season pick for all-Big East, averaged 18.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, ranking him sixth and seventh in the Big East in those categories, respectively.

Butler, who likely will be in consideration for the Big East's most improved player award, averaged 15.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
