Ugh another thread about Maymon.  Dude is becoming the I4.  Who cares, he is gone.  Stop crying.

 We get it this is enough about Maymon, he's been gone for a while now. Was not exactly a turning point, we weren't doing bad with him.

Im getting sick of hearing that losing Maymon was a turning point.  He was beginning to get it, and would've helped had he stayed.

Completely disagree... Maymon leaving was not a turning point for MU. I've seen this mentioned by a few posters and I think its complete crap.

First, how was Maymon a team cancer? Not one person (MU coaches or players) have said that Maymon had a bad attitude and/or was a problem in the locker room. Secondly, this team seemed to have great chemistry with Maymon on it (see the Disney tournament).

The real turning points came during the UCONN game.

1.) DJO getting to the line in the final minute and hitting those 3 free throws.
2.) Butler hitting the winning shot.

The season has not been the same since.

I agree that Maymon was beginning to get it. No doubt he is talented. HOWEVER, Buzz has made many subtle references to his departure. One example being, "After all the close losses it would have taken just one Benedict Arnold to bring this team down." It's legitimate to question whether this team would have the same chemistry had Maymon stayed. Team synergy is a big reason we are overachieving right now.
