I sure hope vander will be a better player for MU after 2 years that Lucious is for Michigan State after two years...

Lucious was an AWESOME guard coming out of Pius...and I saw him play a few times...i felt like he settled for threes much too often, but that's besides the point.

I feel like landing Vander was HUGE for MU...and I feel like Lucious has somewhat underachieved (that may have to do with Lucas being a stud there tho too)

Has anyone seen enough of Vander Blue that would give me better piece of mind? I think if he werent to be better than Lucious, it would be somewhate disappointing
The "average fan" is an idiot.

Well, one big difference is that Lucious is 5'11" 170 and Blue is 6'3" 195.  Lucious is also a point guard, while Blue will be an off-guard.

But I do think it is a cautionary tale about expectations of a freshman.  Lucious will be fine...he is a sophomore who will be logging 30+ minutes the next couple of years.

Actually, I think Blue might be taller than 6'3".  I seem to recall Buzz saying something on his radio show that Blue was just short of 6'5".

I just pulled it off of the various recruiting boards.  Lucious' size will always prevent him from being a major scorer.  Blue will not have that problem.

Actually, Korie played quite well in the NCAAs last year when he had that awful injury.  Wonder if thats affecting him yet.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Blue over Lucious in a heartbeat.

Think 6-0 vs. 6-4. Blue has better size, more athleticism and more explosion. Korie has better initial burst/quickness, but that's about it.

Lucious was an AWESOME gaurd in high school?? What games were you watching??? Just cause he took 25 shots a game doesn't make him "AWESOME". There is a very good reason Coach Gosz ran his sorry ass out of King and then beat his Pius team in the regional final the next year. There is also very good reason his Pius team never made it to Madison...they couldn't even make it to the freakin sectional down at the Al

Lucious was very highly rated VERY early in his high school career, but as the years went by, his stock plummeted.....I don't know if he even finished in the top 100 when it was all said and done.....He will be recruited over at MSU and will never be a starter, while Blue has NBA potential.......It is not even close....
