Lazar Hayward passed Jerel McNeal tonight to become Marquette's all-time games played leader with 131 games played.

Awesome - Lazar is one of my all-time favorite MU players!  Grats to him!

Where does he sit for the other career records?  Seem to remember hearing he was close to #4 on the scoring list - and Homer pointed out if he averages 20 points per game playing out the rest of the season with 4 BET games and 6 NCAA tourney games he'll be #1!

TallTitan34

#3
He will probably finish second in scoring.  Knock on wood though since players seem to have career ending injuries as they approach George Thompson in scoring.

EDIT:

1. Jerel McNeal 1985
2. George Thompson 1773
3. Dominic James 1749
4. Lazar Hayward 1735

Currently tied with Butch Lee, then.  Hope someone gives DJ a call to let him know he's going to be sliding down a spot on Sunday. ;)

I will never forgive you if this ends up happening.

I'm just saying!  While in school I saw two guys have career ending injuries right before they passed George Thompson!

I knocked on wood that it wouldn't happen!

wheresthecake?

Has Lazar ever missed a game in his career?  Can't say I recall him ever being injured, and obviously he would never miss a game due to character issues.
