before the tournament, will that be a new record for consecutive 10 win seasons?  I thought they tied a record last year with 4, at least for a team joining the conference or something.

May have to hang a banner in the Bradley Center or something.

While I understand the underlying sarcasm and shot at our former coach, it would be a pretty impressive achievement. Would it not?

Daniel

There were only 2 or 3 schools who had 4 right (in the BEast I mean)?

The answer is no.

Pittsburgh, has won 10 games this year, will have done the same thing.  Also, the four previous years before MU joined the Big East, Pitt also won at least 10 (and that was with a 16 games Big East schedule).

Pitt is currently on a 9 year year 10 conference wins per season winning streak (Jamie Dixon has never not won at least 10 conference games in a season).

Thanks Chico.

Still, five 10 win seasons in a row in the Big East seems to go to consistency and a chance for a recruit to battle with an upper echelon team.

Absolutely

Tom Crean's Tanning Bed

In the current iteration of the Big East, Pitt's the only one to win 10 games each season (thus far).  If we can get to 10, we'd be #2.

5 straight seasons of 10+ conference wins is no doubt impressive, but if we can get in the tournament for the 5th straight year, that'd be the longest such stretch for the program in nearly 30 years (from '71 to '82 I believe we made it every year).
The General has taken on a new command.

MU made it every year from '68 to '83 other than '70 (Al's FU to the committee) and '81. So the longest successive streak was 10 years from '71 to '80.
GO WARRIORS!
