Has anyone who put in for tickets received them yet?  Any idea when we are supposed to receive them?  Thanks.

Nukem2

Called the ticket dept the other day and they said the tix will go out mid-February.  They need to wait for NCAA clearance to mail.

Husker4MU

Does anyone know, from previous experience, where MU season ticket holders are seated for the games?

Mu2323

Since this was brought up does anyone know where i can get tickets for this.. I realize that it is sold out but i dont have the money for stub hub? Is this big with scalpers outside the stadium? I didnt try to go back in 2005 or whenever it was hosted last. I heard its a great experience tho would love to see it.

BrewCity83

You will have better luck on the street for the 2nd round games, because half of the teams have already lost and the losing fans usually go home.

It will be awhile before I decide 100%, and depending on how long you are willing to wait, I may be looking to get rid of my pair. We can touch base on this as it gets closer.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Probably in the upper deck.  Thats what I had last time we had the NCAAs.  The NCAA controls the lower bowl tix.

bilsu

The lower three center sections (both sides) go to the teams in the tournament. I did have lower seats last time, but they were corner seats. I gone every time MU has hosted. I may be wrong, but every time MU has hosted I do not think they made the NCAA tournament. If they make the tournament this year, I hope the NCAA does not schedule them on the same day the tournament is in Milwaukee.

In my experience, tickets are plentiful outside every arena, every round. The only possible snag here would be Wisconsin being placed here. that would make tickets much tougher to get. Then again, if they are playing there, i wouldn't want to be anywhere near the place filled with all those douche bag idiots anyway, so you can't miss.

mu_hilltopper

Last time around, I bought tickets and didn't end up going, ended up selling them to a broker.  The demand just wasn't there, even for the UW game.   Ample tickets in the scalper system.

That's why I didn't buy tickets this year.  If I want to go, picking them from a broker/scalper will at least let me pick my seat, instead of being at the mercy of MU or the NCAA and wherever they'd put me.

MUUWUWM

The bonanza would be if Kentucky and WI are both here....scalpers heaven.

BrewCity83

Last time UW-Moscow was here I sold my tickets and made lotsa $$$$$$$$$$$$$.  I couldn't have stomached being in that place with them anyway.

You shoulda come.  It was great fun watching 17,000 sad faces in red clothing exit the Bradley Center after the last game of the weekend.

They almost lost to Richmond too - I'm not sure if that would have been more fun or not.

I just may do that this year.

Have the game times been announced?  Do all first round games start around 11am CT?  Or does it vary by location?

Also, is there a break between sessions on day 1?  Or are the games played straight through?

Thanks for the help.  It's been years since I went to 1st round games.  I have to coordinate travel plans for some family and friends, and I don't want to cut it too close.

UW was at Milwaukee 6 or 7 years ago for the NCAA and it was a pleasure to watch Pitt beat them.

Game times won't be announced until the day after Selection Sunday.  Generally they start around 11 am, but there's no guarantee of that.  Sometimes they offset 1 site to have a game for TV longer.

There are 2 sessions on day 1, usually with around 1.5 - 2 hours between the end of the second game and the start of the third game.

My guess is the tickets should be sent out somewhat soon...my final four tickets got delivered to my house yesterday!

I think it would be more fun to go and cheer UW's opponent rather than sell the tickets.  Make it an away game for those bastards!

If UW or Kentucky draws Milwaukee, the secondary market for tickets will be ridiculous - tickets will easily sell for 2x or 3x face value depending on location [UW is obvious, and expectations are astronomically high at UK this year plus those hill folk travel well.]  If you have them, sell them.  If you don't but want them, be prepared to fork over some serious dough.  If both teams draw Milwaukee, they'll likely be seeded in different pods, so the same prices will apply to the first round.  Assuming both advance to the second round, I wouldn't be surprised to see some tickets hit $500/piece for the Sunday games.

If any other Big Ten team or Kansas draws Milwaukee, you'll probably see the best tickets going for 150-200% of face value.  You might even get some tickets at or near face in advance if you're lucky.

Any other contingent of likely tournament teams will probably present you with an opportunity to haggle with the scalpers for tickets below face the day of the games, especially in the 400-level.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I have 2 tickets but will most likely be out of town Friday and would rather sell them to a fellow MU supporter than UW or Kentucky fan even if it means losing out on doubling or tripling my investment. If anyone is interested let me know

I'm very interested. I'm a season tix holder but decided against buying them as I didn't want to spend the $$$ at the time, regretting it now as it's getting closer.

Let me know.
