MU 80, DePaul 69

It didn't come easy, but the Marquette Golden Eagles are back to even in the Big East Conference.

Thanks to a game-high 21 points from Darius Johnson-Odom and 36 for 44 shooting from the free-throw line, MU was able to withstand a letdown over the final 8 minutes of the second half and down the DePaul Blue Demons, 80-69, on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center.

Lazar Hayward added 19 points and 14 rebounds and Jimmy Butler 18 points sparked by a 14-for-16 night at the charity stripe for the Golden Eagles (14-8), who improved to 5-5 in league play heading into what's looming as a big game Saturday at Providence.
