Game 22: DePaul

So, with the benefit of hindsight, and a couple more victories under their belt, did the Marquette Golden Eagles overlook the DePaul Blue Demons the first time the two teams played?

Everyone remembers the outcome of that one: DePaul 51, MU 50, with the Blue Demons snapping their Big East losing streak at 24 games at Allstate Arena.

The Golden Eagles made just six shots in the second half of that one, were out-rebounded and missed the front end of a pair of 1-and-1 situations in the final 20.2 seconds and ultimately fell prey to DePaul when Mike Stovall hit a pair of tough shots in the final 10 seconds to beat them.

Benny B

"The recovery of Chris Otule. I'm not saying the sophomore center will be back, or even suit up. But he's getting much closer to a possible return, and he could very well wind up taking off his redshirt like Cadougan did."

From any other journalistic or "journalistic" source, I would have my doubts; but coming from Rosiak, it's enough to make me think we may have our 5 back come tourney time.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Let's aim to "use the 1" in this one and not let them sniff much more than 50 points to boot.. another 16-3 turnover performance in our favor would be very welcome.  Get this bug squashed and permanently so.
