When Jimmy could not get the ball to DJO and had to drive right as the clock wound down, the UConn players were basically face guarding Acker and Buycks.  They could have easily cut Jimmy off had they been looking.

4 weeks ago when Acker was not the league leader in 3 point percentage going into the game, that type of D doesn't happen at all.  Jimmy made the move of course (and I am happy to see Jimmy and DJO hit big 3s and FTs down the stretch) but a tip of the hat to Acker for developing into a threat out there.

Absolutely.  UConn was clearly expecting a kick-out and did not think Butler could take Edwards on the dribble from the top of the key.  Great shot by JB and great job by DJO getting the three point play to give us a chance.

Don't forget DJO too.  Buzz said in the post-game that the play was designed to go back to DJO, then to Jimmy again for the final shot.  Well, MU couldn't get the ball to DJO since UConn locked down DJO.

Despite the fact we will be losing 3 very good 3 point shooters this year, there's no reason with the returning players (DJO, Butler, Buycks, Fulce, Cadougan) and next year's incoming players (Jones, Smith, Blue) that Marquette can't shoot around 40% again next year from 3.
The General has taken on a new command.
