Clearly, DJO has free throws issues in more than just late game situations.
Rest of team did great (Butler 10/10!, Hayward 4/4, Buycks 3/4, I think).

I don't think its a crazy topic. He looks tight on the line late in the game. His free throws today were just as gator armed as they were last week v. Nova. Morgantown is still in his head. He needs to stop thinking and keep his stroke.

I'm sorry.... But when you lose by 2 points, and you have a guy shoot 3-8 from the line...it's a VERY relavent topic.

I love DJO (my favorite player since Wade), but in a roundabout way, his shortcomings at the line have cost us a couple games.

Still don't think DJO is getting enough shots.  He needs to be in the 13-15 attempts range.

1) Maybe you're mixing English and another language, but 'relavent' is not a word.

2) DJO has not "cost us a couple games".  Not in a 'roundabout way' or in any other.

Season percentage is pretty meaningless for a guy who hasn't faced the pressure of a Big East game before.

In the non-conference season, he shot 75%.  In the Big East season he's shooting 40%.

Heck you could even split it into games against high major teams versus games against non high major teams, as the pressure in those games may be analogous to that of a Big East game, and the numbers there are still not good.

Against the cupcakes, he shot 90%.  Against high major teams, he's shooting 51%.

Excellent analysis.  Completely agree.  It's what you do when the putts mean money.

Too bad he can't shoot his FTs from the 3 pt line.

He'd be 4 (or 5) for 8.

The Lens

You have to be blind to think FTs aren't in DJO's head.

Great to see Jimmy & Lazar knock them down in crunch time though.

Losing sucks and being 1-3 blows but I'm going to with hold any complaints until after we play someone outside the Top 12.  We're not competing with West Va, GT & Nova for a NCAA spot so losing to them doesn't tell me much.

He is below average - needs improvement.

70% before the game (not good) and 63% after going 3 for 8 (bad) - especially for a "shooter"

DJO is gonna be a great player, but someone has to work on his posture.

He dribbles upright A LOT. Allows for easier swipes at the ball.
But once he develops and uses a broader repertoire of scoring moves, watch out.
He's got the pump fake down pat, and since he's a lefty, he has a slight advantage to the defender.

His smooth-as-butter jumper looks sweet as it tickles the twine.

I think his posture dribbling is different depending on which hand he dribbles with. I did not
expect DJO to have as much as an affect as he is having this year for MU. That being said
I think he needs to work on dribbling with his right hand...I may be wrong but he is lower
to the ground when he dribbles with his right hand because he is not comfortable going to
that side. He has been slightly exposed it seems when we have been pressed defenders
know that he favors his left hand.
