Broderick Hicks, played guard for Wake Forest, was here today.  He was a senior when we lost to them down at Wake.

Really nice guy, well spoken, very down to earth.

We chatted about Skip Prosser, Duke, UNC and Dwyane Wade quite a bit.  He said when he was a senior the assistant coach came into the scouting meeting and said "here's the deal with Marquette, this Dwyane Wade kid leads the team in scoring, assists, steals, block shots, rebounds.....stop him and we win...now go practice"

He said it was the shortest scouting report he ever got in 4 years at Wake.

  Nowadays the scouting report goes like this:

"Well, as of today, we need to address X, Y and Z... but, by the time we play them in 2 days, Player A and Player B may be gone and we'll need to concentrate harder on Y but X and Z won't be a big deal.  Ahh, screw it, let's just wait until the morning shootaround on gameday to talk about them."
