Even though Hayward can be most effective spotting up and shooting or facing up and making mid-range moves, I think it is best for the team to have him on the block.

He was very effective in both games making moves with his back to the basket from 10 feet and in.  He is undersized so gets blocked some, but love seeing him go at it.  Having that as a threat down low to throw to when we need a bucket will provide the balanced attack we have been looking for.

Also, any big man considering MU in 2011 can see that Buzz will run plays for you on the block and we are not all guards.  Maybe some big are concerned about just standing around like Burke or Barro did and waiting for wide open layups.  That is not what Buzz is looking for at all.  A big can come to MU and put up 20 and 10 right away.

With the loss of Otule and inexperienced Mbao, Hayward will have to play the bulk of his time on the block.  He still seems to find opportunities to take threes whether they are good or not who knows....he hasn't been hitting too well but hopefully he keeps going strong inside.

So many of Hayward's points just come from knowing where to be on the court.  Give him the freedom to move like he has been.  Either at the three point line, getting ahead on the break, finding when to get on the block, or knowing where to be for an offensive rebound.  Finding the best place to be when he doesn't have the ball is one of his greatest strengths.
