Lazar Hayward led four players in double figures with 28 points as the Marquette Golden Eagles beat Maryland-Eastern Shore, 86-60, on Tuesday night at the Bradley Center.

Hayward knocked down 12 of 20 shots and also grabbed eight rebounds as he bounced back from a subpar opener in which he battled foul trouble and played only 18 minutes.

Jimmy Butler added 13 points, powered by a 3-for-3 performance from three-point range, Dwight Buycks added 12 and David Cubillan 12 and six assists for the Golden Eagles (2-0), who shot 52.4% and scored 24 points off 19 Maryland-Eastern Shore turnovers.
