I was kind of wondering if he was still sick.  Remember after the USF game Crean said that DJ was sick.  He's had off games before but at least on the offensive end he just didn't seem to have much energy.  A couple times he seemed totally gassed, and had to come out.
Well I'd have to say its a good sign when your leader and the guy who everybody seems to have already penciled into the NBA next year scores 5 points and you still beat a tough team.

PuertoRicanNightmare

DJ definitely was not running on all cylinders, but I thought he really picked it up in the second half, as far as getting others involved. He had some really nice passes. I continue to think he's got no business shooting from the outside. He had a really bad airball in the second half and clanked another three off the backboard in the first.

He's got it in him to be a true point guard...driving, dishing and getting to the line. Sometimes I think he just settles for threes.

DJ doesn't play as well against a zone as against man to man and it frustrates him-----which forces him to do things he shouldn't as he wants to be a contributor! Has to let it come to him vs zone!

he doesn't have to shoot to be a contributor...move off the ball and get open looks or pass off to open players after he penetrates or something like that. He's a good player and needs to realize that if he's playing against a defense he doesn't do well against that he needs to adapt and get others involved more, which he did do better in the second half. Still made my head spin w/ a couple of those insane shots he put up.

I have been waiting for more posts on this as I, too, thought DJ was ill.  He looked grey/ashen, seemed lethargic, shot-passed-played poorly, and spent an inordinate amount of time on the bench.
