Once again, if we are good enough that we can complain about being screwed by the tourney committee, then it will be a successful season.

Even more so depending on the caliber of the screwing.

Making the Ncaas is a pipedream. Almost making the ncaas is a compliment.
Playing in the NIT in front of your home crowd and going the distance is what this team really needs to build up post-season experience and hunger.
I'm not sold a one-and-done will be helpful to this team. To the program, yes because of its visibility.

Were'nt we like 83rd in the preseason polls etc.?  We have moved up!

How we play will determine the season - not the polls, brackets etc. at this stage.  So, let's see how we do!

I have to disagree, being at the big dance will be invaluable experience for next years team.  Play against the best. Show them where the bar really is instead of Not In Tournament teams.

Only if you're guaranteed to make it to NYC do I think that the NIT is better than a first-round NC2A ouster. With MU likely getting a decent enough seed if they make it that they could pull an upset, I'll take my chances in the NC2As.
GO WARRIORS!

Agree.  I'd rather throw the younglings onto the big stage, get them traveling to a real tournament site, and have them experience the atmosphere and the pressure, even if they stay for a few days and lose in the first round.  In the NIT they have to act like it matters while playing other teams that might not even be pretending to care.
