Just heard from Jerel McNeal, who confirmed he is accepting the offer he's had on the table for the last few weeks to go to training camp with the Los Angeles Clippers.

McNeal, who played in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Sacramento Kings, will likely face an uphill battle to make the Clippers' final roster, as they're loaded in the backcourt with the likes of Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Sebastian Telfair and Ricky Davis among others.

Still, it's an opportunity for him to take one last shot at the NBA this season. If things don't work out, he'll head overseas and try it again next season.

Tough situation for Jerel, competing against "Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Sebastian Telfair and Ricky Davis among others". Looks like Wes has the best chance on making an NBA roster this year!

I'd rather have McNeal on my team than Ricky Davis.  Actually I'd rather have Dwight Burke on my NBA team than Ricky Davis.  That guy's a cancer.

+1

And he's not as good as he believes he is.

I love the first comment in the comment section on the blog by that boblackey guy...

"James could put the Bucks in the playoffs."

I really hope that guy was kidding or hanging out with Michael Beasley.  That statement should not come out of someone sober.

Maybe he was talking about Lebron James, and if so, then he is correct. Way off topic, but correct.
