It's really simple, practice the handoffs and practice them again and again and again.  Problem is the egos among sprinters are so large they refuse and we never make the finals.

Now, will the woman's team "f" it up too?  History says yes for the same reason.

The amazing part about it is U.S. sprinters have participated in literally hundreds of relays between high school, college and the professional ranks.  No one has more experience in relays than a U.S. sprinter and yet we fumbled the baton all the time.
