Just a fyi.

Someone asked earlier today on this board how we dropped 2 spots the last few days.  Remember, we play a lot of teams who play a lot of teams.  It's all brought into the calculation.  If those deadbeat teams we play in non-conference are losing like crazy, we're going to take a hit.  At this point in the year, it's pretty hard to move around very much.

For now, we're up to 60. with a predicted finish of 68 (still).

Yow.  So we win @Cincy (RPI 56) and jump 11.  We win @SJU (RPI 70) and only bump 1 spot.

My head hurts.

This was the only game left on the schedule that does not do much for us with the win but would have been a killer had we lost.

Up to 54 now that all games are over for the night.  Prediction from RPI is a finish of 1-2 over the next three games.  Hope they are wrong.

Hopefully they're wrong.  Losing games at home kills your RPI.  I would like to see us jump into the 40s by season's end.  I would think if we go 3-0 it would be there for sure.  Not sure and too lazy to try to figure out possibly where we could be if we go 2-1 or 1-2 depending on which ones we lose.  Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I would think, RPI wise, that losing to Seton Hall on the road would be better than losing to Louisvilled at home, even though they have a slightly lower RPI.  Hopefully, this is a moot point and the Warriors win out.

I definitely agree that 11-7 should get us in the dance, regardless what we do in BEast tourney, although a win there would surely solidify it.

11-7 would give us 20-10 going into Conference tourney

Speculating, 3-1 would would give us a shot at one of the top 4 byes, although 3-1 will be very difficult, and we would have to leap over Pitt who owns the tie breaker, and I doubt Pitt will lose 3 of last 4.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Agreed.... but what happened to Providence last year has me nervous.

Great win. Great season so far.

I'm getting the feeling that your RPI rank is about 30% your own RPI percentage and 70% the percentage of everyone within 15 spots either way.  So you can win all you want (and hope your past opponents and opponents opponents win, too) but at the end of the day, it's your RPI "peer group" that ultimately decides where you rank.

Thankfully, RPI does not live up to the hype in front of the selection committee.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
