1. The refs did not cost Pitt this game; poor foul-shooting did. You knew going in that Higgins would be clueless, and he was. There were ticky-tack fouls at both ends, and Ramon got an absolute gift at the end of regulation. The ref watching the play from the near side had the best angle on the call, and he started running up the floor seeing MU had the ball. Ramon knew he wasn't fouled because he ran to the ball for a quick foul after being stripped. Whatever. They made some bad calls when Wes was driving, too, when I don't think he was touched. Pitt was in the bonus with 12 minutes left in regulation, so blaming the refs seems pretty petty. It was the most emotionally draining game I can remember and both teams played their butts off.
2. This is becoming one of the best rivalries in college BB. Look at the three games we've played over the past two seasons. Amazingly tough battles.
3. Fitz's deep three in OT was in the top two for shot of the year in MU ball (DJ's shot at Valpo is still #1). What a clutch shot.
4. You had to feel sorry for Mike Kinsella.
5. You have to think Lawrence Blackledge has seen his last days in an MU uniform. (Why?) And Jamil Lott's time the rest of his days may be measured in seconds. TC likes Burke's upside, it seems.
6. You can't blame an entire crowd for a few morons, but the Pitt crowd throwing towels on the floor was classless. Their team deserves better than that.
7. Bill Belichick's curt demeanor after his Pats lost yesterday made me very happy the Colts had won.

agreed on all fronts.

I am happy to see TC go with Burke over Lott. Hopefully the JUCO experimentation is over......Kinsella, Lott, Blackledge, Jackson.  One good season between them all.

As for Belichick, his decision to jettison Branch cost the Pats the SuperBowl.  How many drops is Caldwell allowed before he's benched?  A dozen apparently.  And all of these Brady INTs in the post-season -- he needed a go-to receiver and he did not have one.  Belichick is a terrific coach, but in this case his smug approach to the Branch contract hurt his club.  good

After watching it a second time myself, the only point I think you missed is Barro's play.  While he had two bad turnovers, he was huge for us in this game and has really played well this year.  While the team continues to marketed as the 3 sophomore guards, Barro is becoming a major impact player in his own right.
