Normally, I'd let the true holders to this statement say any and all comments having to do with someone needing to be destroyed, but since this is regarding football, I'm stepping in.  Let's go Saints!  The entire country outside of Chicago is rooting for you!

Yeah, I know I exaggerated that a bit, but according to a poll on ESPN, 66% of the country would rather watch the Saints in the Super Bowl than the Bears.  That's not a lot of love for the Bears outside of Chicago.  GO SAINTS!!

I am from Philly and bleed green, but I felt happy for the saints when they beat us in New Orleans last week.  The Saints fans deserve the super bowl - it may even bring more attention to the devastation that still exists in NO today.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Aww, sorry bitter Packer fans.  The Saints in the SuperBowl would've been so cute, too...

I am a firm beleiver that the sting of losing in the Super Bowl is far worse than losing the Conference Championship.  ;)

That's cool, I hope all the prognosticators pick against the Bears again.  Perfectly fine with me, the more bulletin board material, the better.

BTW, Reggie Bush is a jag.  Taunting at Urlacher on his TD?  WTF are you doing, dude?  Seriously, that TD didn't even give them the lead.  That's cool, though, Reggie can point all he wants for the next seven-and-a-half months.

When exactly did that happen the first time?

Unanimous.  Listening to a couple of them talk on ESPN during the week, some thought it would be NO blowing out the Bears.  Salisbury specifically compared it to the National Title game, like NO would walk all over the Bears' defense.

Gotta love that Chicago sports fan inferiority complex...   ::)

Inferiority complex?  Do you actually know what that means, or are you talking out of your ass?  I'd guess the latter.  That's okay, though, you bitter Packer fans/Chicago haters give me some good laughs, so keep it coming.

Like I said, I'm not mad about the 'experts' picking against us -- in fact, that's great.  More bulletin board material for the boys in blue and orange.  Scratch that -- more bulletin board material for the NFC champs!  8)

It was the football gods with Bush, like Easterbrook said.  Once he taunted, they didn't score another point after the extra point.  Idiot.

Ridiculous!  I love the Bears but understand how annoying certain fans can be (both Packers ad Bears).  The one frustrating thing about this game was how some were dubbing NO as "America's team".  I don't disagree  that this would have been nice for their city in the midst of what Katrina had caused, but "America's team".  I like to think America stands for something different....like being self reliant (kind of like the people in Colorado that were hit with two 5-catagorie storms this year and helped each other out).  I'm sorry about what happened in NO and the suffering that took place, but the way that was handled (Mayor Nagan) and the helplessness that was displayed by some of the people is the furthest thing that I can think of as "American-like".

Insulting my intelligence now. Nice. For the record, I am a Packers fan. I do not hate Chicago, or the Bears. Just seems some Chicago sports fans take the "Second City" moniker as a slight.

For the record...
inferiority complex
–noun
1.   Psychiatry. intense feeling of inferiority, producing a personality characterized either by extreme reticence or, as a result of overcompensation, by extreme aggressiveness.
2.   lack of self-esteem; feeling of inadequacy; lack of self-confidence.

Hey, you're the one that started it, not me.  You started the insulting with the inferiority complex comment, and I just responded.

And how is this being displayed by me, again?  I called out the ESPN guys for all picking against the Bears, but at the same time, was happy because this can mean only good things for the Bears -- bulletin board material to a 't'.

Boy, you sure can dish it out but have a tough time taking it.  Hmm...

all right guys - let's keep it civil in here.. debate the merits, facts, etc. of the teams/games, etc.  friendly banter is welcome.  let's not go the jeering contest route.  sound good?

Never insulted your intelligence. It was meant as a joke, but you responded in an over-aggressive manner (sounds a bit like an inferiority complex  ;))  OK Spiral, I'm done.

I took it that way because IMO it came off that way, but if you meant it in a playful manner, then I'm sorry for responding in the way I did.  At least we can share happiness in one of the two wins of the day...
