Stanley Robinson is a douchebag.  Played well, but god, what a prick.  How many times do you ahve to hang onto the rim before you get a warning?  I think it was three for SR.

Next few years will be crucial for MU...a crossroads of sort.   I wouldn't be calling out any UCONN players in the mean time.

Yeah, he didn't respect us and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Did he really need to scream after every dunk?

No but then again if we slid our feet on D maybe we wouldn't have let him get to the rim.

dunked 4 times
hung on the rim 4 times...
no surprise... classless.

I was surprised at Thabeet-
after both halves coming through the tunnel the guy was an absolute jerk-
most guys, both teams, slapped hands and hustled in.
he goaded the fans, pointing at himself, at the fans, at the scoreboard.
didn't hear anything about the guy being so cocky.
guess at 7'3" you can be anything you want.

tough loss.
good effort by the good guys

You must have missed when he said that both Harangody and Hansborough were nothing compared to him.

They were a bunch of pricks. Most classless team I've seen since the 'Cuse came in a few years back and Devendorf acted like an ass.

UCONN in general seems classless, not just their basketball team.

Funny. I got blasted as a sore loser for saying in December that Thabeet, Walker, and UConn were a bunch of punks.  Funny how times change.

Sorry about DJ.  He is a great kid, player, and representative of MU.

Wow, unbelievable sour garpes in this thread. After reading your trash, funny how you call us classless. I expected better from Marquette fans, who in general, have been some of my favorites since you joined the big east.

Yeah I didn't really think they were that classless.  I was kind of surprised that they did seem to act with class.  Yes, Robinson hung on the rim.  I would too if I dunked over one person after blowing buy another.  He didn't really scream at anyone or pound his chest or anything.  I remember one play in the 1st half where he fouled Matthews and Matthews fell kind of hard.

Also Thabeet didn't seem to talk trash to any of the players.  At halftime when Matthews and whoever ran into him fell to the ground, he helped both players up, then ran over to the front of the line of UConn players and high fived them all.  From what I had heard before, Thabeet was all about himself and not the team.  That is not what I saw.

Price looked at his bench every time he hit a 3.  That was the most showboating I saw, and who wouldn't when you drop 36 for a career high at the number 8 team in the country's home court to take the lead in the Big East?

I really didn't think UConn acted like that big of pricks, surprisingly.  Even Jim seemed more classy than Huggy Bear and Boehiem.

Yup. Sour grapes, indeed. The screaming after every dunk was annoying, but what was really annoying was the fact that he kept making those damn plays.

Grain of salt from the losing side.

Yes, some sour grapes towards UConn - an emotion night and I'll leave it at that.

However, I wouldn't expect you to understand the other part of it.  The thread is addressed to Jeronne Maymon, one of our incoming recruits.  As you may have noticed during the game tonight, Marquette is woefully undersized for a BE team.  We're a little bitter about that in general - as many believe it's due to a recruiting flaw of our previous coach.  Nonetheless, next years team will be much younger, and inexperienced, but also much bigger.  Jeronne is a *great* PF from the  state of WI - and we're hoping he can provide some of the highlights of PFs that have torched us all year (even if we won at the end).

So maybe sour grapes, or maybe just a little jealous that we don't (yet) have a player that can return the favor to your guys  :D
