I say 12, but depends on what Clemson does with Virginia today.  I see Villanova passing us (they beat us) and Clemson passing us if they win.

romey

Butler just lost to Loyola at home, so we'll stay ahead of them, and Clemson lost to Va. in OT, so an argument could be made they will stay behind us.

Another loss by Dook too, curious how far they will fall after an 0-2 week.

not as far as they would if one of those losses wasn't to UNC. even though it was a bit of a blowout.

Reputations

It will be interesting to see where we end up relative to Dook and Looserville.

Duke loses two--they should drop at least 6 slots, but I am guessing it will only be two or three with their rep.

Looserville compared to us should be very interesting. If we drop two or three spots with a split, what will Looserville drop? Their 33 point loss to ND alone should warrant at least 6 spots. After all--it was a blow out to an unranked team. And our loss was to a team that was hot and ranked--who then were blown out at WV

I am guessing we will drop two slots, and Looserville with Pitino's unwarranted huge rep will still be in the top 10

5,6 (twice), 7, 10 (MU), 11 (twice), 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 23, 24, 25 all lost.

14 of the top 25 lost this past week.  No way we fall more than 2 spots.  Otherwise, everyone has to fall a like amount or more.

I predict 11th, would not be surprised if we are unchanged at 10.  How much are we going to get dinged because we lost at 'nova?

I can't believe Nova didn't get ahead of Clemson - who lost to Virginia of all teams.  It seems like the ACC didn't get penalized too much for their bad losses this week.  Can't be too upset with Missouri passing us - they've been playing really well.  I also can't imagine us losing too much ground should we lost to Pitt Uconn or Lville in coming weeks.

So in 2 weeks we lose to 2 teams and we drop a total of 3 spots (8th to 11th), but your contention is that if we lose to 3 teams that are significantly better in the same 2 weeks time span that MU will drop more than 14 places?  You're off your rocker.

willie warrior

You are missing the point. If we lose to all 3 teams, we drop that far because we do not get respect from the pollsters. As I recall--we lost to dayton and Tennessee and dropped from 15 to about 27 earlier in the year.

Have to say i wasnt really expecting that. We usually get treated like a red-headed step child in the rankings..

AlumKCof93

We deserved to fall out of the rankings after our loss to Tennessee.  We didn't play well and at that time, our only notable victory was at home to Wisconsin.  Losing to teams as highly ranked as Uconn, Pitt or Louisville would not have the same impact, nor should it.
